In this period i have discussed with some friends about their goal to find a new job. One of them is searching from months, another friend is fresh unemployed and everyone wants a new company to working for, to develop a good relationship for both parts.
Listening their questions and studying their answers I synthesize some key points that i hope that can be used by all of you that have this goal right now.
Define your job
Because everyone knows what is the best for himself, it’s very important an accurate answer at the following questions, for a good understanding of own desires, compatibilities and unpleasant situations on the job.
– Where would you like to work?
– Describe how looks your ideal job?
– how do you want your company to look (industry, domain, market share etc)
– What is your strong domain (activity)?
– How looks the place where you want to work ?
– How would you like to looks your relations with the coleagues, partners and managers?
– How much would you like to receive for your work?
– What is your work timetable preferred?
– When do you think that your dream job will be reality?
What do you have to offer?
What is your preparation, strenghts, key knowledges?
What are your’s best results in career?
What are your advantage comparing with others?
What do you know about the company where would you want to apply? Could you contribute somehow to her developement?
Who can recommend you?
Do you know something more about your’s capabilities, enough to give a better support to your job research process?
Where do you start a job search, how do you will search?
Describe your plan to make for realise your goal. What do you have to do to make contact with various companies that have more available job?
Describe your’s actions.
What will be your first step?
What are your resources? (pc, internet, friends, networks, referrals)
How did you got a job in the past? What was the method, your attitude, what did you thought and did you made for this goal?
Negative responses and delays from the target companies
The result of your actions could be concretised by unpleasant responses that does not satisfied you. Something was wrong there, i don’t know.
But staying connected and participating on the interviews means that you are on the right way. But it missing a minor thing that you can build, for a good finality. Identify that thing.
In an ideal world but not in Romania, maybe you could ask the employer how he made that choice and why your experience did not match for that position. In this manner you could improve something in your attitude or you could change your target with another type of company.
Your CV = your businesscard
You have to be very carefull to how your cv looks. That piece of paper represents you. You can ask an opinion from a friend, he certainly could suggest improvements for your cv, and you will be able to obtain an impecabil and profesional document.
What of that things stops you to achieve a desired position on job: thoughts, experience, errors, skills?
At this point, you have to understand what are your strenghts and your weaknesses. Make a SWOT analysis over your person. You have to use more strong key points to replace the weaknesses.
Good luck!
All my best wishes,
